You wake up... you've decided! You've been thinking of selling your house or, maybe, of buying an investment property. Whatever it is, you know it's time to take real steps.  Enough browsing Zillow and trying to understand what the Fed has to do with a house's value and second guessing yourself.  You need to take real action!

There are, of course, infinite scenarios.  Maybe you want to buy your neighbor's house - it's rough but you know you can fix it up and make it a great rental property. Maybe you want to move your parents in (or your children out!).  Find a building for your business?  Buy your dream house, get rich, upsize, downsize, make quick cash, create long-term wealth?  The list goes on...

Now stop!  Forget all of that for the moment!  Those are your dreams and they are fantastic.  But...

There are two things to consider: The Now and The Future. Or, to say it another way, the little details and the big picture.

In order to reach those immediate dreams, you must deal with the mechanics of the transaction... the details that will help you attain these ends as seamlessly as possible.

And then there's the bigger picture... you want to ensure that your approach and your decisions mesh with your short-term and long-term goals.

Creating Plans and Addressing Mechanics.  That's where I come in... the big picture and the little details.

Using my expertise and experience, I want to help you create a blueprint for your future by discussing your interests, your talents, your motivations, and your proclivities.  If you have a plan, let's revisit it and flesh it out.  If you don't have a plan, let's create one.  Maybe you're very 'hands on' and really want to understand everything from A to Z... to be your own architect.  Or maybe you want a more passive approach, creating wealth but not getting involved in the day-to-day drudgery.  There are as many apporaches as there are folks - but it's important to know what your approach is and where you're trying to end up.

And then there's The Boring... the mechanics.  Each and every transaction we do together, whether selling your first home or purchasing your 98th rental, involves a lot of... well... 'stuff'.  Phone calls, emails, paperwork, knowledge of the system, inspections, knowledge of the real estate law, escrow and title, etc.  I will do my best to let you know what to expect, up front, and then make everything as low-impact, preferably no-impact, as possible.  You will need to be involved in the process but my goal is that your involvement is as the boss in the transaction, not the employee: you make the important decisions and leave the details to me and my team.

Get in touch and let's discuss your immediate and future real estate wants and needs. Coffee's on me!

Following is a brief bio.  I promise not to be offended if you skip it.

I grew up in San Diego, I graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1991, then moved to Las Vegas.  My job in LV transferred me to Oregon in 1998 and here I remain.  I have a son, Andrew, of whom I am very proud.  He is an apprentice electrician about half-way through his apprenticeship, which shocks me (sorry... Dad joke). And three dogs, Dixie (an Old English Bulldog), Charlie (a ferocious 6-pound chihuahua), and Bruiser (another chihuahua with a personality much the opposite of his name).  And I have two chickens, Aunt Bee and Clara.

I am a licensed Principal Broker in Oregon and Managing Broker in Washington.  I was originally licensed in California in 1993.  I am now in the process of finishing the 360-hour class time needed to become a licensed broker in California.  I have also taken the classes and passed the tests to be a Nevada broker and have also passed the national- and state-required tests to be a mortgage broker in Oregon.  I have worked as both an agent and a mortgage broker in the past.

Other real-estate related stuff: I have certifications and designations in short sales and foreclosures, probate, and ADU's (a fairly hot topic in Portland).
